Benue: Gov Alia Approves Reshuffle at Bureau for LG and Chieftaincy Affairs

The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has approved a number of changes at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the Adviser in charge of the Bureau, Denen Aondoakaa, has been redeployed to the Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House. Similarly, Barr. Ajinge Saar and Derby Amine are to return to the Ministry of Justice.

The statement further noted that Mrs. Galu has been moved back to the Office of the Accountant General, Shagba Ahura to the Head of Service, while Rhoda Aboh has also been posted back to the Head of Service.

Meanwhile, the Governor has appointed Mr. Terna Ayu as Permanent Secretary at the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Others deployed to the Bureau include Terkura Dzwungwe as Director of Accounts and Finance, Sule Liambee as Director of Administration and Supply, Esther Osugh as Cashier, and Uza Christopher as Director of Local Government Services.

In a related development, Mr. Noel Wende has been redeployed from BIPC to the Head of Service.

The statement emphasized that the changes take immediate effect, directing all those affected to assume duties in their new offices no later than 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
