BREAKING: Tragedy as Woman Heading to Vigil Dies After Visiting Boyfriend; Lover in Police Custody

The Osun State Police Command has commenced investigations into the mysterious death of a young woman, identified as Bidemi Omole, who reportedly died at her boyfriend’s residence in Esa-Oke, Osun State.

According to sources, Bidemi had gone to visit her boyfriend, Yinka, on Friday evening when she suddenly fell ill and died shortly after.

The incident, which occurred around 9:30 pm, threw the community into confusion, drawing a large crowd to Yinka’s residence in the Oke Esa area as news of the tragedy spread.

A resident, who gave her name as Taye, recounted that the deceased passed away not long after she arrived.

She said, “We heard cries for help and rushed to Yinka’s house. By the time I got there, the place was filled with people, including security personnel. It was already late. The deceased was believed to be on her way to a vigil that night, as she usually attends every Friday. The police have arrested the boyfriend, and he is already in custody.”

Confirming the incident, Osun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the matter was reported on Saturday.

Ojelabi explained that the deceased allegedly became sick shortly after arriving at her boyfriend’s house and started vomiting. He noted that she died while being rushed to the hospital.

He said, “The death occurred on Friday. The deceased, Bidemi Omole, had gone to her boyfriend Yinka’s house in Esa-Oke. According to him, she suddenly took ill and began vomiting. She was being taken to the hospital but died on the way. The suspect is already in our custody, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.”
