Caring Lot International Initiative, in collaboration with the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) and in partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Business Entrepreneurship, Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive development through transformative youth empowerment and adolescents care initiatives in Nigeria.

At the heart of the Initiative’s mission is youth empowerment, a critical process that nurtures young people’s skills, confidence, and ability to participate meaningfully in society. Through inclusive programs, Caring Lot ensures that young people from marginalized and underserved communities are not left behind. The Initiative targets the empowerment of all youth, regardless of gender, background, or socio-economic status, to cultivate a new generation of responsible, compassionate, and impactful leaders.

“Our vision is to create a space where every young person has the tools and support needed to thrive, contribute, and lead,” said the CEO of Caring Lot International Initiative. “By partnering with institutions like NACA and the ACCI BEST Centre, we can reach broader communities and deepen the impact of our work.”

While shaping the future through youth is essential, Caring Lot also emphasizes the importance of honoring and supporting the elderly, those who have contributed immensely to national and community development. Across Africa, older citizens often face inadequate healthcare, social isolation, and pension-related challenges. In response, Caring Lot is taking bold steps to address these systemic issues, particularly by tackling the silent crisis of Alzheimer’s disease.

With over 1.5 million new cases reported annually in Nigeria, Alzheimer’s remains a largely unaddressed health concern, particularly among senior citizens. Caring Lot’s elder care program seeks to raise awareness, build dementia-capable infrastructure, and offer practical support for individuals and families dealing with Alzheimer’s and other age-related mental health conditions.

“Getting older should not be synonymous with invisibility or helplessness,” the CEO added. “We are advocating for systems that allow our elders to age with dignity, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose.”

The collaboration between Caring Lot International Initiative, NACA, and ACCI BEST Centre is a groundbreaking model of intergenerational support, one that recognizes the symbiotic relationship between empowering youth and caring for the adolescents.Together, these efforts are creating a more inclusive and compassionate society where all generations are valued, heard, and supported.
