Easter Celebration: CG NFSS Felicitates With Christians, Harps On Formal Recognition Of The Service
The Commander General of Nigeria Forest Security Service, NFSS, Dr. Joshua Osatimehin has felicitated with Christians and members of the Service nationwide on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
In his Easter message in Abuja, Dr. Osatimehin admonished them to always emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ which includes sacrifice, humility, peaceful coexistence, love among others.
He said Jesus Christ came to the world to salvage mankind through His crucifixion and death on the cross of Calvary and resurrected after three days.
The Commander General therefore enjoined them not to allow the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to be in vain in their lives by obeying God’s commandments in their daily activities.
He also to be committed to the service of God and humanity as well as develop keen interest in contributing their wealth of knowledge and wisdom to the betterment of the society.
According to him, NFSS has already deployed its officers and men in the 36 States of the Federation and 774 Local Governments in the country to effectively compliment the efforts of other formal security agencies in ensuring a hitch free Easter celebration.
Dr. Osatimehin used the occasion to once again thanked the Senate and House of Representatives for the passage of the NFSS Bill which he noted signified the commitment of the Lawmakers towards protecting lives and property of Nigerians through the contributions of NFSS over the years.
He therefore appealed to President Bola Tinubu to assent to the Bill as soon as it is transmitted to him to further enhance the actualization of his renewed hope agenda for Nigerians in the area of security.
While reiterating the continuous support of NFSS to President Bola Tinubu’s led administration, the Commander General enjoined the officers and men of the Service to continue to put in their best and shun act detrimental to the objectives of NFSS
