FRSC Boss Cautions Patrol Team Leaders Against Unprofessional Conduct

Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Mallam Shehu Mohammed, has warned Patrol Team leaders against unprofessional conduct that could dent the image of the Corps.

Speaking at the opening of a high level training for all Patrol team Leaders across the Federal Capital Territory Sector Command in Abuja, Mallam Shehu Mohammed said the initiative was designed to reposition the Corps for excellent service delivery to Nigerians.

According to the FRSC Boss, the intervention is aimed at sanitising field operations, eliminating corruption, and restoring public trust in road safety management by training frontline leaders who directly interact with motorists.

“The Corps seeks to create a ripple effect of professionalism that strengthens accountability, enhances discipline within the ranks, and guarantees a zero tolerance posture towards unethical conduct”

The Corps Marshal stressed that every patrol leader must embody civility, empathy, and professionalism, stressing that the Corps under his leadership will not compromise on discipline and integrity.

He further directed that the training must be cascaded down to all FRSC commands nationwide towards ensuring a uniform standard of civility and accountability in the country.

“Every patrol team leader must be an ambassador of civility and integrity, anything less is unacceptable.”

In a presentation at the training, the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Training Hyginus Omeje, who reinforced the principles of courtesy, accountability, and zero tolerance for unethical practices also warned that any officer found guilty of misconduct will face swift and decisive sanctions.

The Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, also presented a paper on “Safeguarding the Image of the Corps.””

“Ultimately, the session is not about training, it is about reshaping culture and character by empowering team leaders with the right values and tools.”
