Gov Fintiri tasks journalists on balanced reportage
Adamawa State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr.Iliya James says Governor Ahmadu Fintiri administration will continue to maintain the trust between the government and media practitioners in the state .
He however tasked Journalists practicing in the state to abide by the rules and regulations of the Media profession at their various organisations.
Mr. Iliya gave the task when the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Adamawa State Council paid him a courtesy visit to officially introduce the newly elected officials of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Union.

The Commissioner thanked the visitors for the familiarisation visit, describing the media as critical to the development of Adamawa State and the nation at large.
He also urged the media to be up and doing in the publication of the current effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the ongoing drive of transforming Adamawa State.
Mr. Iliya also advised the new leadership of Correspondents’ Chapel headed by Comrade Ibrahim Kado to lead by example so that the history would remember them at all times.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Adamawa State Council, Comrade Ishaka Donald Dedan said the visit was to officially introduce the new elected leaders of the Correspondents’ Chapel in Adamawa State following the election that took place on the 19th of March 2025.
Comrade Dedan appealed for Sustainability of necessary cooperation with the members of the Correspondents’ Chapel.
Earlier in a Press Conference, the elected officials of the Correspondents’ Chapel led by the chairman Comrade Ibrahim Kado debunked alleged remourse that the chapel is polarise.
He explained the former chairman Mr. Phineas Padio did not meet up with union election guidelines reason the election committee padio put in place fail to give him bill of health to participate in the election that brought him on board .

Comrade Kado reiterated that the new leadership will remain the substantive executive of the correspondents’ chapel and pledge to carry out this important national assignment with the fear of God and respect professionalism
