Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has reappointed Barrister Ayuba Usman Wandai as Chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) for another five-year term.

In a letter forwarded to the State House of Assembly and read during Monday’s plenary by Speaker Danladi Jatau, Governor Sule stated that the reappointment was in line with the powers vested in him by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Part of the letter reads: “With the powers conferred on me by the Constitution, I, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, hereby appoint Barr. Ayuba Usman Wandai as Chairman, Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC).”

Wandai is scheduled to appear before the Assembly on Tuesday, September 9, for screening and possible confirmation.

It will be recalled that his reappointment follows the successes recorded during his first tenure in office.
