INEC Yet to Announce Date for Voter Registration Resumption

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed reports claiming that the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and the replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) will resume on May 27, 2025.

INEC’s Chief Press Secretary, Rotimi Oyekanmi, clarified the commission’s position in a statement on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Abuja.

“The report is false. The Commission has not announced any resumption date for the CVR,” Oyekanmi stated.

He urged the public to disregard the misinformation and assured that INEC would communicate any updates through its official channels.
