Just in:Senate Approves Bernard Doro as Minister
The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Bernard Doro as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
During his screening at Thursday’s plenary, Doro pledged to prioritise transparency and efficiency in humanitarian service delivery.
“I will create a humanitarian ecosystem that is efficient, transparent, and centred on the people being cared for,” he stated.
He further assured lawmakers of his commitment to fostering collaboration among government agencies to avoid duplication and enhance results.
“I will build synergy among various government agencies to minimise overlap and ensure effective outcomes,” Doro said, adding that technology would play a key role in achieving these goals.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio subsequently put the nomination to a voice vote, which received unanimous approval from the lawmakers.
Following the confirmation, Akpabio congratulated Doro for his commendable performance during the screening session.
