NBC 2026 Annual Convention: Publicity And Mobilization Committee Holds Maiden Meeting Pledges Commitment To Effective Performance

The Publicity and Mobilization Committee of the 2026 Annual Session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, this Thursday held its maiden meeting with a promise to ensure professional and effective mobilization and dissemination of information towards realizing the objectives of the event scheduled for next year in the Federal Capital Territory.

The meeting which took place at the conference room of First Baptist Church, Garki Abuja focused on ways of actualizing the terms of reference of the Committee.

Members of the Committee are Reverend Adebayo Oladeji, Mr Tope Afolabi, Mr Mathew Ayoola, Reverend Chris Oseni, Mr Wilson Okomudo,

Others are: Mr Mitaire Ikpen, Mr Bivan Magoni,, Mr Joshua Adams, Mrs Omotoyosi Aderogba and Mr Tunde Ojerinde.

Terms of reference of the Committee include: to give the 2026 Annual Session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention adequate publicity through the media before, during and after the convention, working with the Resolution and Communique Committee of the Convention on the release of the communique to the public at the end of the session and executing other responsibilities assigned to members by Local Organizing Committee, LOC, among others.

Addressing members of the Committee during the meeting, the Chairman, Reverend Bayo Oladeji thanked the leadership of the FCT Baptist Conference and that of the Nigerian Baptist Convention for giving him and his members the opportunity to contribute their service and wealth of experience towards providing adequate media coverage for the forthcoming 2026 Annual Session of the Convention.

While promising not to betray the confidence reposed in the Committee, Reverend Bayo Oladeji appealed to members to be committed towards the success of the Committee.
