Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Mark 65th Independence Anniversary in Israel

Published

on

Nigerian Christian pilgrims in Nazareth and Bethlehem, Israel, commemorated Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary with prayers and celebrations. The pilgrims, drawn from Imo, Abia, and Adamawa States, alongside Consular representatives, dedicated the day to spiritual reflections and thanksgiving.

In Nazareth, they prayed for Nigeria’s unity, prosperity, and divine direction for the nation’s leaders, including President Bola Tinubu and state governors. Delivering a message of unity, Rt. Rev. Dr. Manasses Okere, Anglican Bishop of Ukwa Diocese, referenced Psalm 133:1, stressing the need for togetherness in nation-building.

The celebrations continued in Bethlehem with a symbolic cake-cutting and joyful praise renditions, as the third batch of pilgrims joined to advance their pilgrimage program.

The commemoration by Nigerian Christian pilgrims highlights the role of faith, prayer, and unity in shaping the nation’s path forward.
