HIS willingness to speak the truth even if it means standing alone on one leg.

The attached statement by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) is not an easy statement for any igbo leader to deliver.
This attached statement will irritate many Igbos but that will not stop OUK from speaking truth, even in the face of impossible odds.
And this is one of the key reasons i align myself with Senator OUK without apologies.
OUK has said what Peter Obi. Engr Umahi, Hope Uzodinma and other did not and could not say. We must call a spade a spade.
Let me be clear. OUK is not anti-igbo and he has never distanced himself from Ndigbo, to the best of my knowledge. He is a community leader and i have seen him standup, jump, rotate his waist and dance at several igbo cultural events. He has also devoted his resources to thousands of Ndigbos.
But while the MNK agenda generated humongous pedestrian traffic in Igbo land, OUK choose not to be pedestrian. He openly distanced himself from violence and appealed for calm and wisdom. That is what good leaders do.
While his position generated resentment among many igbos, his position proved him to be a nationalist and earn him respect in our hearts.
Leaders must not always follow the crowd. We must follow the truth, wherever it leads us to.
OUK position of non violence on the IPOB subject has been vindicated. Please note strongly that MNK was not sentenced for demanding Biafra. He was sentenced for the violence (terrorism) associated with his call for Biafra.
The OUK i know from a distance is not Nigerian by day and Biafran by night. You will always know where he stands on any issue.
OUK is igbo and i am Yoruba.
OUK is a loyalist and supporter of President Tinubu and i am not a supporter of Tinubu.
OUK is a chieftain of APC but i do not belong to any political party.
BUT the search and love for Truth has attracted me to Agwo turo mbe.

Senator OUK has proven to be a good leader, in my own opinion.
In the point of event that this article receives the attention of Senator OUK, i would like to tell OUK to use the opportunity of his close and personal relationship with President Tinubu to tell Tinubu the truth about the situation in our country, Nigeria.
The truth about insecurity, hunger and the anger in the land. And to use your close relationship with PBAT to deliver benefits to Ndigbo and all Nigerians.
