NTAC DG Dedicates Award to President Tinubu, Emerges “Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year 2025” at Parliamentary Publication’s Annual Event
Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has dedicated his award as “Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year 2025” to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The honour was conferred on him during the Nigerian Assembly Orientation and Award 2025 ceremony held on Wednesday at the National Assembly Library Trust Fund Hall, Abuja. The event, organised to recognise outstanding performance among public servants in the non-legislative category, celebrated excellence in public service delivery across the country.
Now in its 9th edition, the event attracted dignitaries and participants from various parts of Nigeria. Speaking during the ceremony, the Publisher of Assembly News, a leading Nigerian parliamentary publication, Prince Adeboye Omoboye, explained that the NTAC boss emerged winner of the category following a nationwide poll.

He commended Hon. Buba Yakub for his dedication to national service and for repositioning Nigeria through the Technical Aid Corps Scheme under President Tinubu’s administration, especially in promoting soft power and development diplomacy globally over the past two and a half years.
In his remarks, the NTAC DG expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the privilege to serve and applauded the organisers for their commitment to developmental journalism. He emphasised the importance of such platforms in documenting Nigeria’s growth and inspiring younger generations who may be losing connection with the nation’s historical journey.
Earlier in the programme, the Director General of the Nigerian Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Issa Lanre-Onilu, while speaking on the theme “A New Nigeria,” urged Nigerians to renew their sense of responsibility and patriotism. Represented by his Special Assistant on Media, Tolu Meduna, he highlighted the NOA’s new 7 for 7 National Value Charter, which balances the “National Promise” with a corresponding “Citizens’ Code,” stressing the need to always prioritise the nation’s interests.
The event also recognised other distinguished Nigerians from various states in different award categories and concluded with a collective pledge to advance national development through parliamentary advocacy and responsible media engagement.
Accompanying the NTAC DG were the Director of Administration, Amb. Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed; Director of Programmes, Amb. Zakari Usman; Deputy Director and Head of Accounts, Mrs. Meimunat Haruna-Mustapha; Assistant Director and Head of Internal Audit, Mr. Adekola Lawal; Assistant Director, Mr. Mustapha Aliyu; and Assistant Director (Programmes), Mr. Fehintola Adebowale, among others.
