Opara Tasks Political Office Holders On Diligence, Support For PBAT

A former Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC John-Kenedy Opara, has called on Political office holders to serve the nation diligently and work together with President Bola Tinubu to move the country forward.

Dr John-Kenedy Opara who made the call when he visited the NCPC headquarters. Abuja said the greatest reward awaits any leader that places national interest above personal ambition.

He said the country will attain greatness when all Nigerians, regardless of political, religious and ethnic background, work together to alleviate the plight of the down troden in the society.

John-Kennedy Opara decried the situation whereby some politicians are not working for the unity and progress of the country.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for putting a visionary leader on the affairs of the Nigerian Christain Pilgrim Commission.

“Bishop Stephen Adegbite was the Chairman of Lagos State Christain Pilgrim Welfare Board when President Bola Tinubu was the Governor in Lagos and now still serving as the executive secretary in the government of Tinubu as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

Dr John-Kenedy Opara said he was impressed with the achievements recorded so far in the last Eighteen months under the leadership of Bishop Adegbite and called on the staff to give maximum cooperation towards recovering the lost glory of the commission.

He promised to make himself available at all times in moving the commission forward.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary Nigerian Christain Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite emphasized the need for Nigerians to always recognize the contributions of leaders during their lifetime.

Bishop Adegbite said the commission would continue to build upon the foundation laid by the first executive secretary of NCPC, John-Kenedy Opara.

Bishop Adegbite also appealed to those in positions of authority to work for the realization of the Renewed Hope Programs of the present administration.
