Presidency provides explanation on tax reform bills.

The presidency has given clarification on the tax reforms bills at the national Assembly

The chairman presidential committee on fiscal policy on tax reform ,Dr Taiwo Oyedele stated this during plenary following series of debate and controversy surrounding the bills

Dr Oyedele explained that the bills if passed into law would improve the economy and put it on the path of progress

The Director General of budget office Tanimu yakubu urged the lawmakers to look at the bills critically and pass it to ensure rapid economic growth

The Executive chairman of the Federal inland revenue service,Zacch Adedeji in an interview said one of the intention of the bills was to ensure that the vulnerables are not taxed as part of the renewed hope agenda of the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu

The Tax reform bills are: Nigeria tax administration act amendment bill,Nigeria revenue service bill,joint revenue board establishment bill and Nigeria tax bill
