President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday received the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The visit was disclosed by Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, who shared details on his official X handle.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the visiting President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday,” Onanuga wrote.

President Bio arrived at the Villa at exactly 12:22 p.m., accompanied by the ceremonial bagpipers of the Presidential Guards Brigade. He was warmly received by Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, who led him into a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu.

While the specific agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, Nigeria and Sierra Leone have maintained strong diplomatic ties since gaining independence in 1960 and 1961, respectively. The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between both West African nations.
