Reasons Ministry of Environment sealed off cold room in Kwara

The Kwara State Ministry of Environment has intercepted spoiled goods and sealed off a cold room in Ilorin where unwholesome fish were being sold to members of the public.

The State Commissioner for Environment, Hajiya Nafisat Musa-Buge, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Ilorin.

She described it as unacceptable for any business outlet dealing in consumable products to trade in spoiled or unhealthy items.

The Commissioner warned business owners to desist from selling such products, stressing that the act is inhuman, unlawful, and ungodly.

Hajiya Buge further urged residents to prioritize their health by actively participating in environmental sanitation exercises to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
