Ugwumba Leadership Centre Reiterates Dedication to Leadership Advancement
The Ugwumba Leadership Centre for Africa has restated its unwavering commitment to promoting leadership development across the continent.
The President of the Centre, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, made this known during a courtesy visit to the South Sudanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. David Buom Choat, in Abuja.
He explained that the visit, which follows an earlier engagement with the Speaker of the South Sudan House of Parliament, centred on strengthening collaborative efforts in youth and women empowerment, leadership development, and skills acquisition.
Ugwumba Nwosu pointed to the Centre’s strong record of impact, noting its empowerment of thousands of young people and women through flagship programmes such as the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, the U-Fund for Women, the Ugwumba Leadership Academy, and the SkillUp initiative.
He further highlighted the Centre’s contributions to entrepreneurship development, start-up creation, leadership and governance training for emerging leaders, women’s economic empowerment, and the promotion of peace, stability, and civic leadership across communities in Africa.
According to him, the Centre is eager to formalise the partnership as part of its drive to strengthen its reach across the continent.
Nwosu added that officials from both organisations described the engagement as fruitful and expressed readiness to expand cooperation for the benefit of South Sudanese youth and the broader African region.
The President of the Centre was accompanied on the visit by the Director of Programmes, Rotarian Bibby Kala-kala; the Director of Administration, Mr. Josephat Okafor; and the Head of Media, Mr. Mathew Ogu.
