Yuletide: CP Nadada bans firework in Nasarawa

The Commissioner of Police in charge of Nasarawa command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ban the sale, use of fire works during and after the Christmas period in the stste.

CP Nadada in a statement by the PPRO, Ranham Nansel warned that the order is with full enforcement added that the ban is in line with the provisions of the law and seeks to prevent incidents of fire outbreaks, injuries, public disturbances and other criminal activities often associated with these items.

“The ban on sale and unauthorized use of fireworks (knockouts or Banger, Agaba and Nnabor ) in the State remain enforced” CP declared.

The Commissioner of Police, therefore, warns dealers and users of knockouts to desist forthwith and urged parents/guardian to discourage their children and wards from buying and igniting fireworks as anyone caught would be made to face the full weight of the law.
