Senator Peter Jiya Urges FG, Donors to Fulfill Pledges to Mokwa Flood Victims
The senator Representing Niger South of Niger State, Peter Jiya, has called on the Federal government and those who made pledges to cushion the effects of flooding in mokwa to redeem their promises to alleviate the suffering of the people.
Senator Jiya who made the call while speaking with newsmen in Abuja expressed worry over the deplorable condition of the people appealing to highly spirited individuals and corporate bodies not to relent in assisting the victims of the flood.
The lawmaker said that the government is making plans to adequately relocate the people to a flood free zone in the state.
Senator Jiya commended president Bola Ahmed TINUBU’S administration for a quick response to the plight of the victims.
