FRSC Commences Paperless Activities at all formations :Embarks On Special Enforcement.

To ensure that the motoring public complies with road traffic rules and regulations, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC is to embark on Special Enforcement Operations, nationwide .

Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed who stated this while addressing news men in Abuja at the end of a Special Strategic Session with all Sector and Zonal commanding officers in Abuja said during the special enforcement operations, Mobile Court Sessions would be strengthened to deal with recalcitrant drivers which would impact positively on drivers behavior thus ensuring safety on the highways.

According to him, the management of FRSC is highly concerned with the increase in the number of road accidents, hence strategic steps must be taken with stakeholders to tackle the menace, which he said has become a societal challenge.

The FRSC Boss stressed that in line with the Federal Government’s directive to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, the Corps has fully commenced digitalization of its activities and Operations.

According to him, the Corps can not wait until the Federal Government’s December deadline as FRSC’s management has already put necessary facilities in place to reposition the Corps in innovative, transparent, and technology -driven operations.

The FRSC Boss stressed that from this month of July all activities are now paperless in line with global best practices while officers and men have obtained necessary training needed for the innovation.

On introduction of technology into FRSC’s operations, Mallam Shehu Mohammed believes that the Corps National Crash Reporting Information system and FRSC’s Mobile App has transformed its operational method in enhancing crash Data reporting and improved public engagement as well as providing real- time access to critical safety features such as black spots detection.

He reassured that the Corps would be relentless in its commitment towards achieving the strategic objectives of the present administration under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
