Group Commends Gov. Ododo for Flagging Off Iyale-Odolu Oganenigu Road Project

The President of Oganenigu People’s Mandate (OPM), Prophet Abimaje, has lauded Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for commencing the construction of the Iyale-Odolu Oganenigu road.

According to him, the project is a major development stride for Oganenigu Ward in Dekina Local Government Area, as it will benefit 11 communities including Ajachaga, Ajatalawo, Odolu Efu, Odolu Ojegbe, Otutulu, Awujeje, Oti Ate, Oti Ogane, Ugbabo, and Ajadafo.

In a statement personally signed, Prophet Abimaje, on behalf of the organisation, expressed gratitude to the Kogi State government for the initiative. “We extend our gratitude to the Kogi State government, led by His Excellency Usman Ododo, and to the state Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development,” the statement read.

He further gave special recognition to Dr. Ocholi, whom he described as “the proudest son of the land,” for his role in making the project a reality, noting its historic impact on the people.

Construction has already commenced as the Kogi State government, through the Ministry of Energy and Rural Development, officially handed over the site to Swaleys Nigeria Ltd.

Residents of the 11 benefiting communities have expressed excitement, while the Managing Director of Swaleys Nigeria Ltd appreciated the state government for the trust reposed in the company, describing Governor Ododo as a leader who prioritises rural development.
