A non-governmental organisation, Help Without Boundaries Initiative (HWBI), has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening policy-driven interventions aimed at improving community welfare, access to education, and primary healthcare for vulnerable populations.

The Founder of the organisation, Sir Godfrey Nnamdi Ohuabunwa, disclosed this in Abuja while briefing journalists ahead of the forthcoming Morning Flight Soul-Reaching Outreach and Crusade scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt.

Sir Ohuabunwa, a seasoned broadcaster and Group Managing Director of Multimesh, explained that this year’s programme builds on HWBI’s long-standing social development vision, which emphasises equitable access to essential services, community empowerment, and targeted assistance for indigent families.

He stated that beyond its spiritual focus, the outreach will incorporate key social intervention programmes, including medical services, food bank distribution, scholarship awards, and empowerment initiatives. These components, he said, are designed to help communities tackle challenges associated with poverty, inadequate healthcare, and limited educational opportunities.

According to Sir Ohuabunwa, who co-leads the foundation with his wife, Lady Angela Ohuabunwa, the growing demand for support highlights the urgent need for stronger policy attention to grassroots welfare, particularly in low-income communities.

He noted that HWBI’s interventions are anchored on the belief that meaningful improvements in human wellbeing require sustained collaboration, strong social institutions, and responsive support systems.

He added that this year’s outreach is expected to draw participants from within and beyond the host community, fostering broad-based engagement and reinforcing grassroots involvement in social development initiatives.

Sir Ohuabunwa further explained that the programme reflects the foundation’s enduring commitment to long-term community engagement, social inclusion, and welfare-focused impact.

“The foundation has been in operation for close to 15 years, and its activities align with broader national policy objectives on poverty alleviation, community health awareness, and the strengthening of social support mechanisms,” he said.

He also noted that through scholarships, skills acquisition programmes, and food relief efforts, HWBI continues to support individuals and households with limited access to formal assistance.

According to him, feedback from beneficiaries indicates improved academic performance and enhanced livelihood outcomes, underscoring the initiative’s contribution to human capital development.

Help Without Boundaries Initiative is a non-governmental and non-political organisation, with its headquarters in Port Harcourt and an administrative office in Abuja.
