IPOB Memo Alleges Internal Betrayal, Urges Loyalty to Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), through a document purportedly issued by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, has alleged internal betrayal within the separatist movement and called on members to remain loyal to its detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The document, described as a “private and confidential” internal memo and dated “Immediate,” portrays what it calls a decisive phase in the group’s struggle, urging members to reject individuals it described as “traitors” and “moles.

The authenticity of the memo has not been independently verified.

Addressed to “All Loyal IPOB Family Members,” the memo claimed that “this is the last internal battle before the full emergence of Biafra as prophesied by our Supreme Leader, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in late 2020.”

According to the document, Kanu had allegedly warned that “the now-dissolved Kuje-appointed 3rd Administration of the Directorate of State (DOS), headed by the expelled Chika Edoziem, would fail and attempt to hijack IPOB on behalf of the Nigerian government.”

The memo stated, “That prophecy has unfolded exactly as stated. The video evidence is public and undeniable.”

It further alleged that “the Nigerian government successfully penetrated the dissolved 3rd Administration through Ifeanyi Ejiofor and the Caliphate mole Chinasa Nworu.”

The document claimed that “these two individuals bear direct responsibility for the demise, impotence, malicious gossip, slander, and blackmail that defined the Kuje DOS.”

It added, “Let it be clear: none of the members of that defunct Kuje administration were founding members of the original DOS. Dissolving a compromised administration does not dissolve the Directorate of State itself.”

The memo also alleged that “their lies, insubordination, and betrayal escalated precisely after the global acknowledgment of Onyendu as the only true living prophet in Africa.”

The document went on to accuse Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo of leading efforts to undermine Kanu’s influence.

It claimed, “Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo could not tolerate this rising recognition. The South-East Governors’ Forum had sworn to suppress Onyendu by all means necessary.”

The memo further alleged that Soludo launched what it described as “Operation Demystify Nnamdi Kanu,” claiming that “he invited inconsequential noise-makers to Awka, distributed state resources as bribes, and activated compromised elements within IPOB to launch venomous attacks.”

According to the document, “the goal was simple: to deflect attention from Yoruba and Hausa activists urging President Tinubu to release Onyendu as Nigeria’s potential savior.”

The memo also claimed that “the coordinated noise from Anambra State House, Law Mefor, and the dissolved Kuje DOS minions was never organic—it was a deliberate distraction.”

On security, the document praised the Eastern Security Network (ESN), describing it as “the force that made it impossible for Fulani bandits to launch large-scale attacks in our land.”

It alleged that “every Nigerian Army operation is designed to clear the path for Sahel terrorists to conquer us,” while asserting that ESN members “remain intact, focused, and fiercely loyal to our Supreme Leader.”

The document further claimed that politicians “manufactured the false narrative of insecurity in our land precisely to justify jailing Onyendu and destroying ESN.”

It described Kanu as “mentally tough to the point of no return,” adding that “he would rather die than abandon his twin quest: to defend Biafraland and restore Biafra.”

According to the memo, “the clear aim of these governors, especially Soludo, and the dissolved Kuje DOS traitors is to weaken Onyendu’s resolve.”

It added that they wanted “to create the false impression that he has been abandoned by the Igbo race and left to fight alone,” but claimed that “they have failed.”

The document also accused sections of the media of bias, alleging that “the same media outlets obsessed with IPOB, ESN, and our Leader never portray the brutal, murderous activities of the Nigerian Army and Fulani bandits.”

It further claimed that “favourable headlines about our struggle are deliberately removed from search engines and replaced with carefully manufactured lies and half-truths.”

The memo alleged that “whenever IPOB records any notable success, they flood the airwaves with negative stories about ESN or IPOB,” while also accusing “Google and Yoruba-dominated media” of amplifying anti-IPOB narratives.

In its concluding section, the document urged supporters to remain united behind Kanu.

“FAMILY, STAND FIRM,” it declared.

“This is the final internal cleansing. Reject the traitors. Reject the moles. Reject the gossip, slander, and blackmail. The compromised have been exposed and expelled.”

It added, “The Supreme Leader’s prophecy stands: after their failure, Biafra shall emerge.”

The memo concluded with a call to members, stating: “In the end, we win. History is on our side. The enemy’s desperation proves they see the inevitable. Remain disciplined, vigilant, and loyal to Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu—the only Leader.”

It ended with the declaration: “Biafra is coming. Nothing can stop it,” and instructed recipients to “Forward this memo. Discuss it in your family meetings. The battle is now.”
