BREAKING:End of an Era as C&S Leader Emmanuel Alogbo Passes On

The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has announced the passing of its Spiritual Father, His Most Eminence Emmanuel Alogbo, who died at the age of 93.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, said the revered cleric died peacefully in the early hours of July 30, 2026, at his residence in Lagos. According to the statement, Alogbo passed away at about 2:10 a.m. while surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
The statement read: “With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father… was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.”
The church described Alogbo as a devoted spiritual leader who dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity. It also announced that prayer sessions would be held daily for seven days from 5 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos, while funeral arrangements would be announced later.
The church urged members to remain steadfast in faith throughout the mourning period, praying that God would grant the church the strength to bear the loss. “May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement added.
Emmanuel Alogbo led one of Nigeria’s foremost indigenous Christian denominations and was widely recognised as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders. During his tenure as Spiritual Father, he oversaw the expansion of the church and strengthened its presence across Nigeria and in several other countries.
His passing marks the end of a significant chapter in the history of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, with members expected to gather in the coming days to honour his memory.
