PRESIDENT TINUBU: ADELEKE’S VICTORY, A FITTING ASSURANCE THAT DEMOCRACY WILL CONTINUE TO FLOURISH

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election as a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress administration.

This was contained in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
President Tinubu said he had earlier called Governor Adeleke to congratulate him on his election victory, noting that the outcome once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in the governor.
He wished Adeleke success as he prepares to lead the state for another four years, urging him to unite the people of Osun State and rally them towards growth, stability, and social and economic progress, irrespective of their political choices during the election.
The President also commended the courage and discipline displayed by the other contestants, saying their participation deepened and enriched Nigeria’s democratic culture.
He said the election outcome reflected the will of the people and provided a fitting assurance that democracy would continue to flourish in the country.
President Tinubu further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for conducting a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
