No need to panic! JAMB says previously uploaded O’Level results remain recognised under the new verification process.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that candidates who previously uploaded their O’Level results do not need to re-upload them or obtain a new verification code under the new verification system.

The clarification followed numerous complaints and enquiries from candidates who uploaded their O’Level results during the current registration exercise, after the release of the WAEC results, or in previous years under the old process.
According to the Board, all O’Level results uploaded through the previous process remain valid and will continue to be recognised on its platform. Candidates in this category are therefore not required to take any further action concerning the new verification code.
JAMB explained that the new verification process is intended to strengthen the integrity of O’Level results and prevent falsified results from being accepted into the admission process. For candidates whose results were uploaded under the previous system, the results already available on the Board’s portal remain valid and will be subjected to the appropriate verification process by the institutions where necessary.
The Board advised candidates not to panic or make unnecessary repeat uploads simply because their results were uploaded before the introduction of the new verification arrangement.
JAMB assured all affected candidates that their previously uploaded results remain valid and will be available for consideration in the admission process, subject to the required verification by the respective institutions.
