The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, says that 76 out of the 107 capital projects initiated under President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the nation’s capital have been delivered

Wike gave the update during a media chat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he said the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) had recorded significant progress in infrastructure development under the present administration.

He said 10 additional projects were expected to be commissioned before the January elections, while the remaining projects would be completed before the expiration of the current administration’s tenure.

He further disclosed that six of the eight projects inherited from the administrations of former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had been completed, while work was continuing on the remaining two.

Wike said the administration remained committed to completing projects initiated under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda before the end of the President’s tenure.

The Minister said the infrastructure development recorded in the FCT under the present administration had been substantial, urging critics to compare its performance with that of previous administrations.

“In the history of the FCT, no government has done what we have done in Abuja. I challenge anyone to come out,” Wike stated.

“Before this tenure expires, every project started under Bola Tinubu would have been completed,” Wike assured.
