Jakadan Sokoto Dies in UK @77

Jakadan Sokoto , former kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris is died.

He died in the early hours of this morning in the United Kingdom,UK after a brief illness.

A statement issued by the media aide to the late former governor, Abubakar Yusuf confirmed the unfortunate development.

Ibrahim Idris who was 77 in April, 2026 ruled kogi state for nine years from 2003-2012.

A philanthropist, community and political leader, he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP board of trustees before his death .

His remains will be conveyed to Nigeria for burial at his ancestral home.

Idris is survived by his wife, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim Idris and many children .
