Amb. Ogwime Joins African Envoys to Commission Hungarian-African House in Budapest
The Nigeria Ambassador to Hungary, with concurrent accreditation to Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, His Excellency, Ambassador (Engr.) Abass Braimah Ogwime, was chosen among African Ambassadors accredited to Hungary to officially commission the newly established Hungarian-African House (Magyar-Afrika Ház) in Budapest.
Ambassador Abass Braimah was the Guest Speaker at the opening ceremony, which brought together members of the diplomatic community, representatives of the Hungarian Government, African Heads of Mission, business leaders, investors, members of the African diaspora and other stakeholders interested in strengthening relations between Hungary and Africa.
The Hungarian-African House is an initiative of the Foundation for Africa and is designed to provide a permanent platform for dialogue, business engagement, cultural exchange and cooperation between Hungary and African countries.
It is expected to serve as a meeting point where Hungarian and African businesses, institutions, investors, academics and other stakeholders can establish partnerships and develop practical areas of cooperation.
The Embassy of Nigeria in Budapest reaffirmed its commitment to promoting diplomacy, partnership and shared prosperity, while supporting initiatives that bring Nigerian, African and Hungarian institutions, businesses and communities together for mutually beneficial cooperation.
