A House Without A Bitting Dog

Dogs are great sights in homes, especially nice looking dogs, fine colours, sanguine in disposition, running and jumping around, warming up to people especially the owners of the house, barking when necessary.

Many homes do not have such sights. Few that have it enjoy a lot of privileges, especially the barkings such dogs echo at night warding off marauders.

However, such houses can easily be burgled if such dogs are toothless, barking without bitting.

Though bitting may not be the best at all times, it may be anti- socialisation and friendliness, it can equally be productive sometimes when those around know that such dogs can bite when push comes to shove.

It would place a check, forcing visitors to maintain boundaries and be a bit careful in stepping beyond boundaries lest they get bitten. A house that has no barking and bitting dog is usually at the mercy of external forces and the integrity, values, respect and honour of such a house could be mashed and trampled underfoot.

Every family, every society and every nation should not only have people who are humble as a lamb. Peaceful as a dove and oratorical like a parrot. They should at the same time have agile, roaring and aggressive lion and scorpions. The latter would checkmate many trespassers and make them think twice before stepping beyond boundaries.

Imagine a family of 37 able- bodied well endowed men with a large landmass, inside that land are great natural potentials of ecomonic values. From nowhere they got external attacks that threatened to dispossess them of their ancestral heritage. These 37 men are non aggressive, no connection, no gut , no balls, no courage, no might and no sense of rascality and madness in them. Not even one out of the whole lot could bark

What do you think would happen to them and their heritage? Flip the coin, what would happen if one or two of them were rascally, aggressive and ready to stake their neck to defend their heritage? Bark and bite?

In the case of the former family they would have wished they had such rascals and to the latter family, because of such rascals in the family such external aggressors wouldn’t dare in the first place. The fear and palpitation their presence would elicit would be a natural deterant factor.

Every family, every society etc should have such a mixture of the good and the bad for a balance. One would only appreciate this balance in moments of oppression and suppression that signal nothing but insults, denigration and demeaning to their humanity, without anybody to stand in and fight dirty. In life some issues can only be resolved through aggressive confrontation.

See Nigeria through the lenses of these two families and see where we the masses fit very well. We have been taken for granted by the political class for a long time. Our weakness overly unboxed by their shenanigans. Their oppression and insensitivity to our woes and pangs, a show of the weakness of the masses to aggressively confront them. Until the masses begin to confront them with aggressiveness, force and die hard resistance to their killer policies and masses unfriendly governance, our collective heritage would always be a fattening milk for these heartless political class.

2027 is by the door step. If we continue to behave like that family of 37 able-bodied men with no rascals, no might, no connection, no guts,no bark, no bite and no aggressive disposition, we would continue to whine and lament without any change.

Until you find yourself in a dire strait situation without no gut to confront, no help heave in sight, only then you would understand the essence and importance of rascals.

# Every family should have one or two persons that would put foward their chests to take bullets for their families.

# Every family should have a mad dog that would not only bark but at the same bite.

# Every society should have some crazy masses that would bite bullets for the rest of the cool and non rascal masses.

# Coalition is good but without the rascal masses that would protect their votes, we would still end in same messy pot of corruption and masses emasculation by the political class.

# Coalition without mad, crazy and confrontational masses to stand for their right and fight against rigging and snatching of ballot boxes is another act of a flight from the ground to an anthill.

# Our political class are hyenas, lions and wolves. For them to be dislodged the masses should equally match them with same energy, antics and strategies
