Adewumi Commends Wike for Peaceful FCT Elections •Calls for greater inclusion of women in politics

The Woman Leader of the Abuja Chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Traders (NANTs), Amb. Rachael Adewumi, has applauded Barr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for overseeing peaceful elections in the nation’s capital.

She also called for increased encouragement and participation of women in politics within the FCT. Amb. Adewumi made the remarks while addressing journalists in her office over the weekend.
She praised the Minister’s efforts, noting that they have significantly contributed to stability and order in the FCT. According to her, sustaining such initiatives will continue to yield positive outcomes for residents of the territory.
In her statement, Chief Rachael Adewumi further urged the Minister to prioritize and promote women’s involvement in politics. She underscored the importance of women’s participation, pointing to what she described as their God-given prudence and capacity to contribute meaningfully to governance.
Dr. Adewumi also commended the Minister’s achievements, particularly in infrastructural development, and encouraged continued backing for his administration. She stressed that such support would advance unity, development, love, and peace across the FCT.
The NANTs Woman Leader expressed gratitude for the Minister’s commitment to the growth and well-being of the territory, emphasizing that his dedication has not gone unnoticed. She appealed to residents to rally behind the government to sustain progress.
Amb. Adewumi reiterated the crucial role women play in shaping the future of the FCT and Nigeria at large, expressing confidence that their active participation would drive positive transformation.
She noted that the Minister’s ongoing efforts to enhance the living standards of FCT residents reflect measurable progress, adding that NANTs anticipates continued cooperation with the FCT administration.
According to her, with sustained government support and stronger promotion of women’s political engagement, the FCT can attain greater milestones, fostering unity and shared prosperity for all.
