The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has disclosed that it has satisfied 10 out of the 14 demands presented by striking workers, with concrete steps already in progress to resolve the remaining four.
In a statement, the FCTA outlined key areas where agreements have been reached.

These include the payment of outstanding wage awards, with disbursement of five months’ arrears already underway. The Administration also confirmed the full payment of allowances, comprising 13 months’ hazard allowance and 22 months’ rural allowance owed to health workers.
On promotions, the FCTA approved the sum of ₦286,166,772.46 as promotion arrears for 724 officers across 24 Secretariats, Departments and Agencies (SDAs). Additionally, the issue of tenure elongation has been resolved in line with strict adherence to the Public Service Rules.
The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has held a series of engagements with labour union leaders, reiterating the Administration’s commitment to dialogue as the preferred path to settling outstanding issues. Meanwhile, some unions, including the Law Officers Association of Nigeria, have distanced themselves from the ongoing strike action.
