Buba Yakub Praises Amb. Tuggar’s Selfless Service and Dedication on His Birthday

The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has commended Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, for his unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and commitment to national service.

In a birthday message to the Minister, Buba Yakub lauded Tuggar’s impactful contributions to Nigeria’s foreign policy and his mentorship of those privileged to work with him.

This was disclosed in a press release signed by Mr. Nkem Anyata-Lafia, Special Assistant to the NTAC DG (Media and Publicity), on Friday.

In his message, titled “A Million Hearty Cheers on the Celebration of a New Year,” Buba Yakub described Tuggar as a visionary leader and a source of inspiration. He praised the Minister for his discipline, intelligence, and ability to push through challenges while staying focused on Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives.

“You have demonstrated capacity, energy to drive dreams, discipline to push through the fog despite adversity, and the intelligence and charisma to stay focused on the goals,” Buba Yakub stated. “You have shown the world that ‘excellence’ is not only in name but in deeds, and have by so doing carved a niche for yourself as a man of excellence who has uniquely redefined our nation’s Foreign Policy Goals within the short period since you became Minister of Foreign Affairs.”

The NTAC DG also expressed gratitude for Tuggar’s role in advancing Nigeria’s foreign relations and his efforts to reposition the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He extended warm wishes on behalf of himself, his family, and the entire management and staff of NTAC.

Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, a former member of the House of Representatives and Nigeria’s immediate past Ambassador to Germany, has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at strengthening the country’s diplomatic presence.

In his tenure of just over a year, he has introduced key reforms, including the 4-D Foreign Policy Initiative of the Tinubu Administration, popularly referred to as “The Tinubu Doctrine.” These initiatives seek to enhance Nigeria’s global standing and improve the efficiency of its diplomatic corps.
