The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the composition of a nine-member panel that delivered the controversial ruling to strip Senegal national football team of their Africa Cup of Nations title.
The panel is headed by Nigerian official Roli Daibo Harriman as President, with Faustino Varela Monteiro of Cabo Verde serving as Vice President.

Other members include Moez Ben Tahar Nasri (Tunisia), Espoir Asogbavi Komlan (Togo), Masauko Timothy Msungama (Malawi), Moses Ikanqa (Namibia), Hamoud T’feil Bowbe (Mauritania), Mohamed Robleh Djama (Djibouti), and Lubamba Ngimbi Hector (DR Congo).
The decision to withdraw the AFCON title from Senegal has generated widespread reactions within the football community, with several stakeholders demanding more transparency in CAF’s disciplinary procedures.
Although details surrounding the ruling remain limited, the panel’s composition reflects CAF’s attempt to ensure regional balance and credibility in addressing high-profile matters.
This development marks a significant moment in African football governance, as attention shifts to CAF for further clarification on the ruling and its implications for the tournament outcome.
