The Concerned Christian Youth Forum (CCYF) has weighed in on the controversy over Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’s alleged comments concerning Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola.

In a statement signed by its Convener, James Paul Adama, the forum stressed its commitment to truth and unity within the Christian fold, noting that an investigation showed Fatoyinbo’s remarks were taken out of context and misinterpreted.

“The statement was never meant to offend or malign the highly revered Apostle Ayo Babalola or his esteemed family,” the CCYF said. They further acknowledged the Apostle’s enduring influence, describing his legacy as one that “transcends generations and continues to inspire countless believers across Nigeria and beyond.”

According to the forum, Fatoyinbo personally affirmed during the investigation that he holds all fathers of the faith in the highest regard and would never engage in any act that disrespects them or their heritage.

The statement added that Fatoyinbo has since offered an apology to Apostle Babalola’s family and the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

While condemning the spread of false narratives aimed at causing division, the CCYF warned that such actions “will not go unpunished.”
