Christians and Sorcery

Not everyone that bears Christian name is a Christian. Not everyone that is seen around the perimeters of church’ auditorium on Sundays is indeed a Christian in package and in content. Church, less hyperbolic but truth in bare and frank regalia isn’t mainly a place for Saints only.

It is rather a place where Saints and sinners, crooks and Innocents come either to pray or perpetuate their heinous intents. Many had had their personal effects stolen in the Church. Kids stolen, money siphoned, minors defied and morality lowered to the level of shame and disgrace.

In same church, dressing codes lost dignity, sermons lost weight and grace, giving out instead, jokes, humours and potpourri of unresearched teachings, filled with fantasies, lies and manipulations to ingratiate.

Church! A Holy place no doubt, but with many unholy persons hanging and milling along for dubious intents.

Few days ago I had a chilling encounter with a Christian Mechanic who I was recommended by a friend to fix my car. A good guy. Filled with humor and joviality. He told me how one of his colleagues took part of the money that a customer gave him for his car’ repairs.

How did you know he was the one that took the money? I asked. I went somewhere to find out he answered. You met a prophet? No! I went to meet these Gbagyi sorcerers. How did they find out? They brought out their mirror, brought out two sticks of brooms , made some chants and asked me to mention the names of those I was suspecting.

When I mentioned the guy’ name the broom rose, thrice his name was called and thrice it rose. Did you ask him about the money after you found out he took it,? Yes but he denied it and even wanted to fight me. What did you do after he denied it? I went back to them, they prepared some charms tied with red cloths, asked me to take it into the bush, say what I want to happen to him then look for a fresh human faeces, bury the charm inside it; after few days whatever I said would happen to the person that stole the money would happen.

What did you say would happen to him? For him to run mad. Haba! I screamed. You should at least have asked he returns your money, why madness? He who fetched ants infested wood invites lizard for a visit, he said with a grinned smile. But has he ran mad? I thought he had, he answered, because I stopped seeing him for awhile . But recently I started seeing him around again, which means the charm is yet to be effective.

I took time to narrate this to show what many Christians get themselves into while still attending Church. This could be the least out of the horrendous and nefarious activities many Christians smear their hands and stain their souls with.

We live in two worlds of Jesus and Caesar. The two worlds of eating from the plate of God and from the plate of devil simultaneously . The two worlds of romancing with the Holy Spirit in the morning and hugging the devil at night. This is the kind of Christianity many of us practice, in duality, beast riding , one leg for God and the other for the devil.

Don’t be deceived by the outward appearance of some Christians , there are more that lie behind such facade of piety and holiness. Look twice before you trust. Recount before you accept, look before you leap, not all that glitters is gold around the church environment. Church is like a hospital, all manner of people abound, check and recheck, lest you get involved with someone whose history, background and orientation belie what their physical comportments look like.

Many Christians are just nominal, no commitment, no brokenness, not dead to sin but alive in iniquities. Though around the Church’ precinct, active in religious activities but soaked with the act of divination, sorcery, necromancy and expertise in diabolic practices .

Many are devoured more in the church by those they share same faith and drink from same cup. A lot happens around the Church and those one calls brethren may afterall be the very clog in the wheel of ones progress. Count, recount before you take. Witches and wizards abound in coven, they also exist right in the midst of Christians. The latter may not fly in the night but their thoughts and wishes may have features of Witches and Wizardry.

Wear your garment of righteousness. Equip yourself with creative words to rule and overcome. Run to him your friend ( Jesus) And carry everything, everybody that comes to you to God to sieve out the tares from the crops. Life is more spiritual than physical

# Not every smiling face is a friendly heart
#Not every open door is a door to be entered
#Not every help should be accepted
# Not every friendly request should be granted
# Be discerning lest you get stung
