A Federal High Court in Abuja has approved bail for former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, along with his wife, Asabe Bashir, and their son, Abdulaziz Mbalami.
Presiding Judge Joyce Abdulmalik set the bail at ₦200 million for each defendant, requiring two sureties of equivalent value.

One surety must provide a property title in either Maitama or Asokoro, both high-end districts in the Federal Capital Territory.
The court also ordered the defendants to surrender their international passports and remain in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service until the bail conditions are met.
The trial has been scheduled to commence on March 16.
