Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), has disclosed that he faced alleged conspiracies against him but attributed his rise to national leadership to divine intervention.
Musa made the revelation while sharing a testimony during a recent church service at the Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja.
The testimony was monitored by Church Times and later published on its website on Sunday.According to the minister, his elevation came at a time when circumstances appeared unfavourable, but he said God intervened on his behalf.
He urged members of the congregation not to lose hope, stressing that faith remains a source of strength in difficult moments.
“We give God the glory for what has happened this year. Even when the enemy thought they were putting us down, they did not know God was going to lift us up,” Musa said.
He added that those who allegedly conspired against him believed they had succeeded, but noted that reliance on God ultimately guarantees victory.
“In their small minds, they conspired and thought they had won. But as long as you have God as your pillar, you will win,” he stated.
The defence minister also spoke on resilience, saying challenges are necessary for growth and personal development.
“If you are never challenged, you can never improve in life. As Nigerians, we know we are strong, but we are stronger together with God Almighty,” he said.
Musa further described Nigerians as winners and called on citizens to continue praying for the nation and its leaders, emphasising unity and faith as key to overcoming national challenges.
