EFCC Boss Charges Staff on Integrity, Commends Exemplary Performance
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has charged officers and men of the Commission to uphold integrity in order to remain relevant and credible in the fight against economic and financial crimes, as well as other acts of corruption.
Mr. Olukoyede gave the charge in Karu, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), at a forum where members of staff were honoured for their exemplary performance in the discharge of their duties.
Reiterating his firm stance on integrity as the foundation of credibility, the EFCC Chairman stressed that the Commission can only sustain its status as a leading anti-corruption agency if it maintains a high rating on the integrity scorecard.
He commended officers of the Commission for their resilience and dedication, urging them to take pride in the collective achievements recorded over the year.
Describing the Commission’s mandate as a critical pillar of nation-building, Mr. Olukoyede likened the EFCC’s role to that of “guardian angels safeguarding the economy against pillage, leakages, sabotage and other infractions.”
He encouraged the award recipients to view the recognition as a call to greater service, while also urging other officers to remain steadfast and committed to excellence in the discharge of their responsibilities.
