FCT Election: Suleiman Ibrahim Barde Decamps To ADC, Assures Of Party’s Victory In Gwagwalada Area Council
The Chairmanship Candidate of Labour Party, LP, in Gwagwalada Area Council for the forthcoming FCT Area Council Election, Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde has led about one thousand members of the Party to decamp to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the area.
On the occasion in Gwagwalada Abuja, Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde said he decided to decamp to ADC due to the crisis rocking the Labour Party at the national level.
According to him, he decided to look for a new platform alongside his supporters towards rescuing Gwagwalada Area Council from the state of under development over the years.
“Our own Party which is the Labour Party is not working again and we have to look for a new platform where we can support and win election most especially the FCT Area Council Election and other subsequent elections” He stated.
Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde therefore advised eligible voters in Gwagwalada Area Council to come out en masse during this month’s FCT Area Council Election and elect the Chairmanship Candidate of ADC towards ensuring grassroots transformation and people’s oriented projects on the area.
“I pray that residents of Gwagwalada will realize that politics is not about tribe and religion but about credible and competent candidate that will bring about development on the area meme the need for them to vote for the Chairmanship Candidate of ADC who has the interest of people of the area at heart “. He pointed out.
In his words “Leadership is about delivery and I want electorates in Gwagwalada to look at someone who can attract development to them and stop attacking non indigenes and non indigenes should also stop attacking the indigenes because we have all being together for a very long time and we should be aware that without the non indigenes, Gwagwalada cannot develop and without the indigenes, Gwagwalada cannot have the present peace we’re all enjoying in the area hence the need for all of us to work together to ensure sustainable peace, unity and development “Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde stressed
Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde who expressed satisfaction on the preparations of INEC and security agencies for the FCT Area Council Election called for more sensitization to prevent voter’s apathy during the election.
He emphasized the need for all politicians and political parties in the election to shun violence and imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship before, during and after the poll.

Sunday Aguma described Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde as a youth and community leader as well as experienced politician who will bring his wealth of knowledge and experience towards ensuring the victory of the Patty in this month’s Chairmanship and Coucillorship elections on Gwagwalada.
Hon. Sunday Aguma commended Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Barde and his supporters who decamped from the Labour Party to join ADC and assured them of the Party’s readiness to carry everyone along in its programmes and activities.
