This was disclosed by Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malam Madori, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Policies Affairs, during the Jigawa State Government Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) held in Kafin Hausa.

Senator Madori, who represents Jigawa Northeast Senatorial District, said the allocation was captured and approved in the 2025 national budget.

He revealed that all legislative groundwork for the institute had been concluded, noting that the Senate had passed the bill establishing the institute in Kafin Hausa.

“The construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa has undergone all necessary processes and has been passed into law by the Senate. We are now awaiting the assent of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for its implementation,” he stated.

According to him, the institute will enhance the capacity and quality of police training in Nigeria, aligning law enforcement practices with global standards.
