Pastor Ifeanyi Isaac, the CEO and Chief Coach of JK Football Academy, Abuja, Nigeria, has appealed to the Nigerian government to support Nigerian-born international footballers like Goodwill Chiwendu.
JK Football Academy is an affiliate of a top-notch academy in Turkey that has produced several top players.

Ifeanyi made the call during a press conference, urging the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Ministry of Sports, President Ahmed Tinubu, and the Legislative Arms of Government to do everything within their power to elevate Nigerian footballers playing abroad.
Chiwendu, who currently plays for KC Besa in Albania, is one of several Nigerian players nurtured by JK Football Academy who have gone on to play for top clubs abroad.
Ifeanyi praised Chiwendu’s skills, describing him as a “very special striker” with a “lion heart” who is “deadly when he is in the box.”
The JK Football Academy boss called on the NFF and the Ministry of Sports to look into Chiwendu’s case and that of other talented Nigerian players abroad.
He also urged the government to support local football academies like JK Football Academy, noting that they have the potential to contribute significantly to the nation’s economy.
Ifeanyi cited examples of Nigerian footballers who have invested in the country and are giving back to their communities.
He appealed to senators to sponsor young players and assist them in developing their talents.
The academy has produced several players who are currently playing for top clubs abroad, including a recent signing with Kepsa in Kosovo.
Ifeanyi emphasized that investing in young footballers is a worthwhile investment for the country’s future.
He called on the government to enact laws that will support young talents and football academies across Nigeria.
