Gov. Mutfwang Condoles With APC National Chairman Over Mother’s Passing
By David Odama
Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, on Monday extended his condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda, who died at the age of 83 after a brief illness.
In a condolence message issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr. Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang described the late matriarch as a devout and courageous woman whose life was marked by faith, service to God, and humanity. He highlighted Mama Lydia’s compassion, wisdom, tolerance, and kindness, values she imparted to her children and all who knew her.
The governor noted the deep sense of loss felt by the Yilwatda family, emphasizing that Mama Lydia’s passing creates a painful void, especially at a time when her prayers and counsel were still needed. He, however, encouraged the family to find comfort in her enduring legacy of faith and selfless service.
On behalf of his family, government, and the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang prayed for divine comfort, peace, and strength for Prof. Nentawe and the entire family in this moment of grief.
