Gov. Sule Honoured with Education Ambassador Award in Lagos

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has been honoured with the Education Ambassador of the Year award by Independent Newspaper in Lagos State.
According to the Board of Independent Newspaper, the award recognizes Governor Sule’s outstanding performance in the education sector through his “investment, advocacy, and promotion of child education in Nasarawa State.
”A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Adra, noted that the honour also acknowledges Sule’s efforts in expanding access to education, improving quality, and promoting skills-driven learning across the state.
Governor Sule was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Education, Dr. John D. W. Mamman, during the newspaper’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration, commemorating 70 years of Free Basic Education in Nigeria, held on Thursday in Lagos.
Dr. Mamman, in his remarks, appreciated the leadership of Independent Newspaper for recognizing Governor Sule’s visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to human capital development.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue prioritizing education as a vital instrument for empowerment and progress.
The event, chaired by elder statesman Chief Bisi Akande, attracted notable Nigerians including Prof. Uche Azikiwe, wife of the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe; former ministers Prof. Barth Nnaji, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, and Alhaji Lai Mohammed; grandchildren of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello; veteran broadcaster Dr. Danladi Bako; and the Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr. Aisha Garba, among others.
