GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO FELICITATES OBA OF BENIN, HRM EWUARE II, ON BIRTHDAY AND CORONATION ANNIVERSARY
The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has congratulated the revered Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, on the occasion of his birthday and 9th coronation anniversary.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, and made available to journalists.
Governor Okpebholo lauded the Benin Monarch for his unwavering commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Edo people and for his remarkable leadership since ascending the ancient throne of his forefathers.
Describing the Oba as a distinctive and visionary ruler, the Governor noted that His Majesty’s reign has been marked by peace, development, unity, and progress across the Benin Kingdom and Edo State at large.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Edo State, I extend warm felicitations and prayers to our father, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, on his birthday and 9th coronation anniversary,” the Governor said. “The Oba’s wisdom, diplomatic acumen, and dedication to the welfare of his people continue to inspire us in government.”
He further acknowledged the Monarch’s tireless efforts in promoting peace, fighting societal ills, and fostering harmony among residents of the State, describing His Majesty as a moral and cultural compass for the administration’s ‘New Edo’ vision.
Governor Okpebholo prayed for the Oba’s continued good health, strength, and many more fruitful years on the throne, pledging his unwavering respect and support for the Benin Royal Palace.
“I will continue to work closely with His Royal Majesty to ensure a prosperous and united Edo State,” the Governor concluded.
