LECAN’s New Leadership Assumes Office, Reaffirms Commitment to Quality and Professionalism

The Licensed Electrical Contractors Association of Nigeria (LECAN) has inaugurated its new national leadership, with High Chief Vitus Ofodum Ikenna emerging as the National President. The ceremony drew the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Chief Judge of the FCT, Honourable Justice, and Hon.

Mohammed Abdulmutalib, Commissioner for Rural Development and Energy, Kogi State.

In his acceptance speech, High Chief Vitus Ofodum Ikenna expressed deep appreciation to LECAN members for entrusting him and his executives with the mandate to lead. He assured them of his unwavering dedication to advancing quality and professionalism within the electrical contracting sector, emphasizing capacity building, advocacy, and networking as key priorities.

Delivering the welcome address, High Chief Otunba Dele Akintola congratulated the new leadership and encouraged them to uphold values of integrity, humility, and wisdom. He stressed the need for unity within the association and called on members to fully support the new executives.

In his keynote address, Hon. Mohammed Abdulmutalib underscored the vital contribution of electrical contractors to Nigeria’s power sector development. He praised LECAN for its continued commitment to enhancing standards in the industry and pledged the support and cooperation of the Kogi State Government towards the association’s initiatives.
