Nasarawa SUBEB Chairmsn vows to redeem education lost glory pays unscheduled visit to schools In Nasarawa

The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, NSUBEB, Dr Kassim Muh’d Kassim has vowed to raise the bar of learning in public schools in Nasarawa state.
This, the chairman said paying unscheduled visits to schools, ensuring that teaching and effective learning remains his cardinal guiding principle in the overall educational development in the state.
Speaking at the end of an unscheduled visit to about 5 primary schools and three School Base Cluster Training centers for teachers and head teachers in the state, Dr Kassim expressed satisfaction with the quality of teaching and learning in Primary and Junior secondary schools in Nasarawa State.
The NSUBEB boss while noting that the visit which will be a routine check is to ensure total compliance with the guidelines set by the board and attended classes with the primary school students where teaching was going on and express satisfaction with the quality of teachers and teaching.
“My administration will not condone truancy, absentism, Laziness and insubordination. We have to be conscious and committed to your responsibility by ensuring punctuality at all times”.
“The main purpose of the visit is to ensure total compliance to the teaching and learning in our various schools which is why we are visiting all the training centers to make sure that teachers are well trained”.
The schools visited were St Williams Primary school Lafia, Isiaka Islamiya Primary School Lafia, CMC Trans Nursery and Primary school Gudi, Akwanga LG, Akwanga Central Primary School and Islamiya Transfer Primary School, Nasarawa Eggon.
During the visit, the SUBEB chairman alongside his members and senior directors of the board ask questions about lesson and planning notes urging them to always get their lesson notes ready.
At CMC Transfer Nursery and Primary School Gudi, Akwanga where the training of teachers is going, the chairman was impressed with the performance of a participant Mrs Christopher Funhazon Victoria and gifted her the sum of N20,000.
He urged the communities to own the structures in the school located within their communities by protecting them for the benefits of their children.
He equally inspected some structures that were blown off by rain and promised to get the contractors to fix it back.
