National Assembly Postpones Resumption of Plenary to March 5

Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members of the National Assembly have been informed that the plenary session earlier fixed for Tuesday, 24th February 2026, has been postponed.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Kamoru Ogunlana, Esq., Clerk to the National Assembly, and made available to journalists in Abuja.


According to the statement, the postponement is to allow various Committees of the Assembly to conclude their ongoing budget defence sessions.
Plenary sittings in both chambers will now resume on Thursday, 5th March 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members are advised to take note of the new date and time for resumption.
The Leadership expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may have caused.
