The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results, announcing that 60.24% of candidates secured five credits including English and Mathematics.

Registrar Prof. Dantani Wushishi, who briefed journalists in Minna, said malpractice cases dropped sharply to 3,878 this year from 10,094 in 2024.

NECO also blacklisted nine supervisors—three from Rivers, three from the FCT, and one each from Niger, Kano, and Ogun—for compromising exam standards.

Wushishi disclosed that 38 schools across 13 states are under probe for alleged mass cheating, while communal clashes in Adamawa disrupted exams in eight schools.
